My Scrap Art Digital (MSAD) is having a birthday!

I am a huge fan of blog trains and only because it really gets me into a new designer that I haven't seen before, a store I've never purchased from or even keep me in touch with some beloved designers as well.

My Scrap Art Digital is just one of those stores I hadn't heard of until recently and I like what I see from them. Want a sample from the designers that work there? Take a peek at the blog train they have up now! Lots of lovely little mini kits to combine or mix and match when creating designs.

Just visit the links I have added to view them and download your own!

Happy downloading!
Now, to get these opened and start tagging! Yum!

CT: "United We Stand", some sad news, and a few new layouts!

Good afternoon Blog-o-sphere! I'm here today to give out some sad news, some good news and give you a bit of eye candy to ponder.

First off, the sad news: my friend Priscilla is closing down her stores! That's right, she is retiring in order to pursue a college education and so she must close out her stores in order to focus on her schoolwork. And if anyone knows how hard that can be, it's me, so I wish her the best of luck along the way.

One bit of good news, though: Everything is on sale! That's right. And, if you act now, you can save 40% of her wares at Wilma4Ever!

Just click the image above to see all she has to offer. All products will disappear after September 31st so hurry in to save!

The last bit of good news, though--she will, from now on, offer any kits as freebies on her webpage or on her Facebook wall! Yes, ladies, she isn't fully retiring--just retiring from selling. All those contracts and obligations for uploading kits really does get in the way of schoolwork. LOL

And she has started that free-sharing today, with a brand new full-sized scrapbooking kit called "United We Stand". Just look at this beauty!
This kit is complete with 20 papers, 49 elements, and 44 Presidential Paper Rounds-one for each of our 44 presidents! It is chockfull of reds and blues, highlighted by light whites and a few document papers to add just that right touch of "Political" flair to your layouts.

Here's a few from me to get your creative juices flowing:
Want to give a try at this lovely kit? Just hop on over to Priscilla's blog and grab this lovely freebie kit! You will not be disappointed.

If you're a tagger, check out the tutorial below to give your take on my tutorial "United We Stand".

Colour Me Happy

 Supplies Used
Tube by Dominic Marco, which is no longer available
Stop by HERE to see what he is still offering
“Ways to Say Goodbye” (name)
Colour Me Happy Freebies
by Kimeric Kreations
Mask 84 by Wee Scot Lass (HERE)
ICNET Filters Unlimited (HERE)
 Let's Begin!

Create a canvas 1000x1000. Name and save as a *psd.

Open the frame, resize by 30% and add to the canvas; center.

Open the graffiti, resize by 10% and add above your frame layer; bottom left hand corner.

Open the heart cluster and resize by 30%. Add below the frame layer on the left side and position.

Duplicate the heart cluster and turn to your liking; position this on the right hand side.

Duplicate again and turn yet again to your liking; position the leaves more toward the top this time.

Merge the leaves (once called “Heart cluster”) together. Use your cropping tool, section out a square that mimics the square opening of your frame (while on the leaves layer). Hit delete and the excess will now be gone.

Pull out a colour from the design. Create a new canvas 900x900 then flood-fill with that colour. I used A04C86. Apply your mask now and then add above the white background.

Pull the mask to the left side first. Duplicate, mirror and flip then pull down and to the right until your lines inside of your frame line up. Merger the two layers together.

Use your cropping tool to section out your square again (while on your mask layer) that is the size of the frame opening and then hit delete.

Drop the opacity on the mask layer to 175. Pull the bottom (middle) nub to stretch slightly to fill the bottom.

Use your crop tool again to section out the square center of your frame. Add a new layer and flood-fill with a new colour.

Then, go to Effects > IcNet filters > Special Effects 1 > Venetian Blinds and then use the sliders to get the desired blinds > Edit > Deselect.

Add your desired tube. You may have to resize to fit to frame.

Crop or resize to your liking then add your name with copyright. Upload to a photo sharing site to enjoy.
