Summer Sun

Supplies Used

Sirena by Jose Cano (HERE)
“Summer Splash” by Mersija (HERE)
“Waves” (Name)
Mask 80 by DBV (HERE)
Eye Candy Bevel
Eye Candy Jiggle

Let's Begin!

Open paper 2, up-size to 800 width and apply the mask. Add a new layer, flood-fill white and send to the bottom; center mask.

Re-size the design to 750 x 750.

Add the sand to the left side, duplicate and mirror, then position to make the larger sand.

Open the yellow frame and then add above the sand layer. Add your choice of paper.

On the frame and paper layer (when needed), use an eraser on 95 with a hardness of 22% to blend them into the sand.

Add the grass above the frame layer and position.

Open the tube of choice, re-size by 60% and add above all layers.

Open the wave, re-size by 50%, mirror and add above the frame paper.

Add the net 2 behind the frame layer, DS, duplicate and then mirror. Pull down slightly, erase the bottom half and merge the two together.

Open the sand castle, re-size by 45% and add to the left of the mermaid.

Add the boat behind the grass layer, pull to the right and then erase the left-hand side.

Add flower of choice after a 60% re-size.

Open the bottle, re-size by 40% and add to the design.

Open shell 2, re-size by 30% and add below the bottle layer; use rotation below.

Open the lemonade, re-size by 40% and add below the mermaid layer.

Open the orange flower, re-size by 45% and add above the lemonade layer.

Crop as close as you can to the mask layer.

Duplicate the mermaid layer. Carefully erase all of the body, leaving just the tail. Drop shadow.

Duplicate the tube layer again, and then erase the tail. Move the tail to below the body and duplicate two more times. Drop shadow before duplication.

Simply hide the full body, in case you ever need it again.

Let's Begin!

Open AS3. Add each layer, in the order you created them, one after the other, in the program. Remember, if you worked from tail layer 3 to tail layer 1, all frames will go BEFORE each other and, if you worked from tail 1 to tail 3, they will go after each other.

View your animation for any flaws and fix those in PDN.

Once all of your frames are in AS3, and while on the first frame, edit: select all > animation > frame properties 40 > ok.

Apply the optimization settings then upload to a photo sharing site to enjoy.

Many thanks to Becky for this lovely tag!
