Dearest Bloggers,
I hope that your Christmas has been wonderful. I feel lucky this year, because I've had three wonderful days, with several wonderful individuals, for my holiday season.
My friends, Bobbi and Jed, are new homeowners and have been very eager to have their first holiday gatherings this year. So, on December 12th, my husband and I went to their house for dinner and to exchange gifts. We had a wonderful times, as always, and had many laughs, which we all needed. Bobbi and I had a contest going on about gifts, which I most definitely lost, but I look forward to beating her next year with spoiling them with gifts. LOL
On December 17th, my sister and brother-in-law came in from Virginia to visit my family, our mother and our Aunt and Uncle. I really needed this family gathering, since I lost my beautiful fur baby, because my holiday turned a bit sour on December 15th. A gift that my sister gave me did bring me to tears (it was a memorial to my beautiful, Sassy) but it was something that I needed to see. Still, having my sister, mother, Aunt, Uncle and two of my three sons, along with my daughter-in-law and grandbaby, was just what my bruised soul needed.
On December 25th, my mother, husband, son and I went to my Aunt Iris and Uncle Tom's house to exchange gifts, watch a few Christmas movies and have a wonderful dinner as well. They are always such a delight to be around and we all shared a lot of laughs together.
With all of this, I was surprised that I didn't go over my carb limit for my diabetes but I'm so glad that I have learned restraint or I would have been in lots of trouble. LOL My Aunt makes the best homemade pumpkin cheesecake ever and that's enough to get me in trouble ten times over. LOL My son, Alex, now says that she has to make that his new holiday tradition. LOL He's a huge sucker for any kind of cheesecake.
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas season, and that you had light, love and peace during your visits with family and friends. Here's looking toward a new year, with new delights, and hopefully, less troubles.
~Tina
