Tech Savvy

 Supplies Used

Tube by Tim Lowery (here)
Pea Hannah (here)
"Tech Savvy" by Polka Dot Scraps (here)

 Let's create the phone

Open PDS_TS-paper8. Go to Layers > Import From File > Find PDS_TS-phone  > click ok. Where it lands on the paper doesn't matter.
Open your close up tube and do the following: Image > Flip Horizontal > Image > Resize > 65% > Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight paper layer in your layers box and do the following:  Edit > Paste As A  New Layer. Move the tube up to where the chin is cleared of the bottom of the screen. Flip paper background horizontal twice.Use eraser size '95' to erase all of the tube hanging out of the phone. Drop shadow close up tube as follows: Effects > Object  > Drop Shadow > Offset X: 2 > Offset Y: 2 > Radius: 1 > Blur: 3 > Opacity: 100 > Click "ok". Merge tube and paper together.
Go to Tool > Rectangle Select > Crop slightly away from your phone frame > Image > Crop to Selection. Use your eraser '95' to erase all paper around phone image.
Duplicate phone image and hide top layer. On bottom layer, do the following: Effects > Object  > Drop Shadow > Offset X: 2 > Offset Y: 2 > Radius: 1 > Blur: 3 > Opacity: 145 > Click "ok".  Using your eraser tool again, slowly and carefully clear the slight drop shadow from around the outside of the frame. Hide layer.
Unhide top layer and do the following: Effects > Object  > Drop Shadow > Offset X: 1 > Offset Y: 1 > Radius: 1 > Blur: 2 > Opacity: 125 > Click "ok".  Using your eraser tool, carefully erase a small area around the frame window.
Unhide bottom layer and merge with the top. Image > Resize > 75%. Name as "Phone", save in PNG form and click save.
 Begin!
File > New > 800x800 > Save file as "Tech Savvy" > from drop down menu find 'Photoshop' form > click "ok".
Layers > find PDS_TS-frame3 > highlight frame and click "ok". Highlight your white background in your layers box and go to Layers > Flip Horizontal and it will flip your white background. Return to your frame layer and Effects > Object Align > Center Both. This will move your frame into the center of your canvas. Save.
Open PDS_TS-print element. Image > Resize > 125% > Edit  Select All > Edit > Copy.
Go to your canvas and Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Center neatly in the middle of the frame. Save.
Open PDS_TS-paper 3 and Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight print layer in your layers box and Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Using brush size "95", remove all paper that is hanging out around the frame (close). Then, using brush size "175", remove the rest of the remaining paper. Save.
Open your full body tube and resize as needed. Mine did have to be resized, so if you are using the same tube, do the following: Image > Resize > 120% > Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
(Do not worry if your tube is blurry. It will sharpen when resized.)
Highlight paper layer in your layers box and Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Center your tube in the middle of your frame but slightly to the right.  Duplicate this and move top tube layer above frame. Flip white background. Save.
I've added my drop shadow to the top layer tube in this way: Effects > Object > Drop Shadow > Offset X: 2 > Offset Y: 2 > Radius: 1 > Blur: 3 > Opacity: 100 > Click "ok". Use eraser width "35" and carefully erase bottom of tube that overlaps frame. You may need to use the eraser to clear away any left over tube from the bottom tube as well. Save.
Layers > find PDS_TS-leaves1 and click "ok". Center neatly in the middle of the frame on the right hand side. Move below tube. Save.
Open PDS_TS-flower1. Image > Resize > 45% > Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight leaf layer in your layers box and Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Center neatly at the bottom of your leaves. Save.
Open PDS_TS-gems. Image > Resize > 75% > Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight your flower layer in your layers box and Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Center neatly at the bottom of your flower, leaving some hanging off of flower. Duplicate two more times, remove two other gems from original layer and hide. (3rd layer) Remove uppermost gem on the first layer. Unhide second gem layer, remove one gem. Do the same for the first layer. Make sure you have three separate gems in different areas. Save.
Open PDS_TS-flower2. Image > Resize > 51% > Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight top gem layer in your layers box. Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Move it so that the flower covers the uppermost gem. Flip white background. Save.
Highlight  top wise single gem layer in your Layers box and move this gem to the top of your flower 2, making sure it doesn't show the leaves underneath. Do the same for the bottom most gem, at the bottom of the flower. Move the side wise gem a little out, showing very little of the flower underneath. Merge all three layers into one. Save.
Once these are all in places, use your eraser to get rid of the leaves stem at the bottom. Save.
Open PDS_TS-scatter. Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight frame layer in your layers box. Edit >Paste As A New Layer. Place at the bottom of your frame, with some hanging off and some still on frame. Save.
Open PDS_TS-plug. Image > Resize > 75% > Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight gems layer in your layers box and Edit > Paste As A New Layer.  Move plug to the right until it covers some of the paper and some of the frame. Save.
Find the phone you create and Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.
Highlight gems layer in your layers box and Edit > Paste As A New Layer. Position on the left hand side of your frame, moving the dial pad more under the plug and leaving some on the right hand side of the plug. Go to your layers box, highlight your white background and flip. Save.
Click on your phone layer again, making sure it is highlighted in your layers box. Layers > Rotate/Zoom > Angle: 18.43 > X Pan: -0.065 > Y Pan: -0.013 > Click ok. Save.
Highlight white background in your layers box. Layers > Flip Horizontal. Save.
Drop shadow the rest of your tag the way you'd like it. If you want it the way I have drop shadowed it, use these inputs for these elements:
Print: Offset X: 4; Offset Y: 4; Radius: 1; Blur: 4; Opacity: 90
Leaves, Scatter, Plug: Offset X: 1; Offset Y: 1; Radius: 1; Blur: 2; Opacity: 125
Flower1, Flower2: Offset X: 2; Offset Y: 2; Radius: 1; Blur: 4; Opacity: 125
Frame: Offset X:3; Offset Y: 3; Radius: 1; Blur: 3; Opacity: 145
Crop your image as close as you can get it without messing up your drop shadow. Add your name, resize to your liking, save in PNG form with no white background, add your copyright information and you're done!
