Celebrate & Eat Cake

 Supplies Used

“Anastasia” by Jose Cano (HERE)
“Birthday Blog Freebie” by Simple Girl Scraps
Austie Bost Dreamboat font (HERE)
Mathilde Font (HERE)
PDN Drop Shadow

 Let's Begin!

Create a canvas 1000x1000. Name and save as a *psd.

Open the frame, rotate to horizontal, resize by 35% and add to canvas; remove addition frame and object align, center.

Open paper 1, resize by 25% and add below the frame layer; erase excess.

Duplicate the frame layer, add a wide, light DS for the inside of the opening then erase excess; Do not merge!

I used a tube that is smaller than my design, so I upsized it by 145% and then sharpened it by 4. Add below all frame layers, DS and then rid yourself of the excess, both inside the second frame opening and out.

Open the ribbon, resize by 30% and add above all frame layers; flip to add a wide, light DS.

Open the present, resize by 20% and add above ribbon layer; flip to add a wide, light DS.

Open the flower, resize by 25%, then add below the present layer; flip/mirror to DS then return to normal position.

Open the candle, resize by 30% and add below the flower layer; use rotation below then DS.

Duplicate the candle, mirror and then move into a slightly lower position near the opposite candle and merge layers.

I reopened both flower and present and resized them both by 15%. The present I flipped before adding.

Crop the design but leave room at the top, bottom and sides; think square like.

On the full frame (the one you did NOT erase or DS) add a tight, dark DS. I used 0-0-0-3-120. Erase the inside of the frame openings. Merge the two layers now.

I used Austie Boast Dreamboat font to create a WA; use your own imagination for a saying in your choice of colour.

Tweak now to your liking.

Drop Shadow remaining layers, crop/resize and then add your name with copyright. Upload to a photo sharing site to enjoy.

 Let's Begin!

Create a canvas 1000x1000. Name and save as a *psd. Open element 41, resize by 50% and add to the canvas as your mask layer.

Open element 55, resize by 30% and manually center over mask layer.

Open element 12, resize by 35% then add above the frame layer; position.

Open element 45, resize by 15% and then add to the lower right hand corner.

Open element 35, resize by 45% and add in the upper left hand corner.

Open element 16, resize by 35% and add below the tube layer; position near silver button.

Open element 38, resize by 15% and add to the right silver button, positioning it on top.

Open element 10, resize by 25% and add below the last bird layer, left side.

Open element 13, mirror, resize by 25% and place near white flower.

Open element 19, resize by 25%, duplicate (then merge) and then add below the silver button layer; move button layer up in layers box to above daisy.

Duplicate the daisy again and flip; move into position near the top of bird.

Open element 14, resize by 15% and add over near the right silver button; duplicate, send to top and position over birds foot.

Open element 32, rotate to flat, resize by 55% and add above the frame layer.

Open papers 11 and 12: resize both by 20%, using the paper 12 for the posterior frame and paper 11 for the anterior frame. Erase excess of each with a large eraser on 75%.

Drop Shadow layers, crop or resize to your liking then add your name with copyright. If you wish your design to stay static, stop here.

 Let's Begin!

I am using two different animations by lovely: Water Fountain and Water waves.

Open both animations in AS3. With water fountain: Select All > animation > flip animation > select all > animation > replace colour and then use the settings below to change the colour.
Delete all frames past frame 8 in both animations. We will not need them.

In PDN, hide all layers above the mask layer; Copy remaining layers into AS3.

Copy the water waves animation and add it into the frames at the bottom. I pulled my first one to the right and then paired up a second addition to the left. Keep in mind you’ll have to even them up.

Copy these eight frames and add them back to PDN as a new image—one at a time! Start with the first frame as a new image and all other frames as a new layer.

Save as a .PSD with the same file name, but add “ani” after the normal file name. EX: “Garvey Golden Goddess Ani”.

Hide the last two layers and unhide all layers EXCEPT the upper Garvey tube.

Copy merged all above layers and add above all the animation layers of the new design and title it “covering 1”; click Save.

Hide each animation layer in its’ turn and add these layers IN THE SAME MANNER back into AS3.

USE CAUTION! If you are going from 8-1 frames, place them BEFORE each other, not after. If placed after when going backward, the waves will go toward the design, not away from it.

Pull up the water fountain animation to tweaked earlier. Add this into all the frames as close as you can to the opening of the water pitcher.

Place every one of the frames (yet again) in PDN as you did before, replacing the old saved animation.

Hide all layers but the drop shadowed upper tube layer. Open this, highlight it in the layers box and copy. Add to the top of EACH frame layer then merge with the frame.

Add the chosen name and your copyright (never use without a proper license). Add back to AS3 to animate. When done, hit shift+z to add the optimization settings.

Sweet Strawberry Dreams

In May, my town holds the West Virginia Strawberry Festival. This year, which is now in its’ 74th year. Wow! So, to celebrate, I’ve come up with this lovely, simple tutorial to commemorate the occasion.

 Supplies Used

“Strawberrylicious” by Ismael Rac (HERE)
“KG Strawberry Limeade” (Name)
“P’tite douceur” from Caro753 (HERE)
Mask Set 6-44 by Brutal Designs (HERE)
Mura Meister Copies

 Let's Begin!

Create a canvas 1000x1000. Name and save as a *psd.

Open the mask, upsize to 800x800 and save,

Open paper 2, apply the mask and add to the canvas. Erase the excess from around the actual mask layer. Duplicate and merge.

Open the element 28, resize by 26% and add above the mask layer; manually center.

Open paper 12 and resize by 20%. Add below the frame layer and erase the excess.

Open the tube and create to your liking; simply add to the design without resizing.

Position and duplicate the tube; move one to the top. Erase the excess off of the lower tube, drop shadow the top tube and then erase the excess.

Open element 32, resize by 7% and then add above all layers, making sure the element is in the middle of the design. Add the copies setting below and then remove to below the frame paper layer.

Open element 26, resize by 5% and add to the design. Drop shadow, duplicate, move both below the tube layer then position. Undo the original resize, resize again by 7% and add to the design.

Open element 7, resize by 20% and add to the left hand side of the design.

Open element 2, resize by 15% and add near/above the cupcake layer.

Open element 33, resize by 7& and add above the left side leaves layers.

Open element 18, resize by 7% and add to the design; duplicate, mirror and then position.

Open element 6, resize by 30% and add this below the first flower layer then position. Duplicate the strawberry layer; move to below the doughnut layer and then position.

Drop Shadow layers, crop or resize to your liking then add your name with copyright. Upload to a photo sharing site to enjoy.
