Mermaid Cove

Supplies Used

Kinky Mermaid by Ismael Rac (No Longer Available)
“Gentleman on the Rainbow” (NAME)
“Blue Sea” by Sonia (No Longer Available)
Mask 84 by WSL (HERE)
Eye Candy 5: Bevel
Eye Candy 4000: Jiggle

Let's Begin!

The Bubble Layer

Open a paper 3 and apply your mask.

Add a new layer, flood-fill white and send to the bottom.

Add a new layer above the mask layer. While you are there, grab a suitable colour from your mask layer. Try not to make it too dark or too light.

Grab your shapes tool, use the circle outline only, hold shift and draw out a large circle on your design; manually center. (By holding shift as you draw, it gives you a perfect circle)

Choose the magic wand and click OUTSIDE the circle, set the tolerance to 0% and then invert the selection.

Go to Effects > Blurs > Gaussian Blur > 40 > OK. Add a new layer, grab your paintbrush on 30 and add some white. On the upper left and lower right, I add a thick layer and then just a slight line to connect the two.  Add a Gaussian blur of 72 to this layer.

Add one last new layer above this and select a very pale blue so we can add highlights. Using the blue you already selected, lower the opacity to 160 and add a few patches of lines to connect both sides of white. Add a Gaussian blur of 115 to this layer.

Deselect all and then merge your bubble parts together. Add Eye Candy 4000 glass settings shown below for the finishing touch.
At this point, I inverted the colour on my background and cropped as close to the mask layer as I could, and then I inverted the colour back to white.

Erase the entire mask layer UNDER the bubble.

The Body Layer

Open the laying mermaid tube you want to use, merge the layers and add to the bottom of the design.

Add element 14 in two places under the mermaid and then merge when positioned.

Open element 22, resize by 25% and add under the mermaid’s hand.

Add elements 34 and 35 over the shell layer and position; erase the excess (for an even, smooth line) and merge the layers together.

Add elements 72 and 75 behind mermaid.

Open element 19, resize by 30% and add in the air. Undo resize, again at 45% and add below the tree layer.

Build a mound of sand behind the mermaid with element 68. When completed, merge the layers together.

Add element 24, after a 25% resize, along the mound.

Add element 4, after a 65% resize, on either side behind the sand dune; position to your liking.

Drop shadow everything to your liking. Add your own personal touches now.

Bring on the Animation!

Crop/resize to your liking then add your name with copyright.

Duplicate the waves layers for four layers. DS the lower layer and rename the upper layers 1, 2 and 3.

Start on layer 3 and add the settings below. Simply hit random seed ONCE for the lower layers, except the DS layer.
Add the layers, in order from 1 to 3, in AS3. Up the frame properties to 50, apply optimization settings and save.
