Free Font: Autumn in November

I found this amazing font to use in a very down-to-earth tag that I have offered in one of my CafeMom groups. I thought everyone might like to know of a good, calligraphy font to use in romantic designs. You can pick up your download HERE at DaFont.

This Way to the North Pole

Summer Snags

I have been feeling a little under the creative weather and haven't been able to be completely active in my favourite hobby. It makes me sad that, with all the stress I am under, I simply cannot relax enough to design.

Still, I have been searching the web for ideas, in the hopes that it breaks my cold snap, and I found a lovely mini kit by Dae Designs that sparked enough of an interest in me to finally come up with an Avatar set, with matching banner snags, to create. I just love this tube beauty by VeryMany (HERE) and this lovely summery font called "A Day Without Sun" (HERE).

Just right click on each image below and snag them for yourself!

I'm now the Mom of Graduates!

Congratulations to all of the classes of 2016 at every high school in the United States! I happen to be one of those parents that are celebrating the highest mark of a teenager who is about to get the rude awakening of the outside world! LOL Seriously, though, both of my boys fought hard for the progress that they achieved and I couldn't be more proud of them.

I created a layout page using a template by Lisa Rosa Designs, which you can find HERE. The kit I used is a collection of items from the Digiscrap Parade "Commencement".

The dust is clearing -- here comes new snags!

Every year, Buckhannon hosts a Strawberry Festival that attracts bands, baton twirlers, singers, bands, crafters and the like from many of our surrounding states -- even from other countries! This is the 75th year, our Diamond Jubilee, and I am celebrating with a small token of the event -- which you can find HERE.

And here is another set of snags that I created from a 2013 Scraps N Pieces blog train called "Just Be" that I found while cleaning my external hard drive. I used a tube by VeryMany, called "Spring," which you can find HERE. I used AL Serenade from FontZone.

Just click on each snag and then save to your computer.

My Progress and a few snags

It's been some time since I last posted, due to the end of my Spring 2016 college term, but it was well worth it. I am still continuing to maintain a 3.0 GPA, while taking care of a brittle diabetic, my elderly mother, my mentally handicapped brother and my 18 year old, who is about to become a WVU Tech Golden Bear in the upcoming Fall 2016 semester. I have been one busy momma! I will be doing two 4 week classes to get those semesters to drop a bit and I'm looking forward to them. It gives me a release from the stress, just like my designing does, and gets me two steps closer to my degree. Hopefully, it will be a nice summer so that I can enjoy a bit of sunshine while doing my classes. It's simply been drab the first half of the spring here in West Virginia, due to all of the rain we have been getting. For once, I'd love to see the sun again.

When I did decide to design again, and possibly do another tutorial, I found that I was dangerously low on my disk space on my external drive. So, I have had to weed through the kits I'd never use (or hadn't used in years) and do a bit of 'spring cleaning' to grab myself more space. I came across a 2013 blog train from Scraps N Pieces called 'Sunkissed' (no longer available) and used a old template from an O'Scraps blog train called 'Easter 2014' by Lucky Star Scraps (no longer available). I just love this tube by Nocturne, called 'Juice,' which you can purchase HERE. The font is called 'Magnolia Sky' at DaFont.

Just click each image and right click to save to your computer. Enjoy!

Paris in Love

"It's a Spring Thing" DigiExpress Blog Train

It's that time of year again, everyone! The time when all of the harsh winds and snow drifts become a thing of the past. Looking out my window, and with what I experienced last night here in WV, I'm doubtful of that but one can dream.

And that's what we did with April's blog train "It's a Spring Thing." The beautiful pinks and blues of the palette came alive in our designers hands and they created a few beautiful kits and pieces for you to enjoy this month. Just take a look:

Nice! I can't wait to try a few out and see what I can create. How about you? Are you up for the challenge of collecting these lovely bits and putting them to use? If so, check out the list below and collect them while you can!
